On August 11th, 2019, 20 students from SFS participated in the 2019-2020 Guangdong-Gyeonggi University Student Exchange Camp Project, which lasted until August 24th, for cultural exchanges.
On the morning of August 12, a welcome session was arranged. Prof. Nan Jingxuan from the International Exchange Office of Gyeonggi University and Xiao Yuhan from the International Exchange Office of SCAU made speeches respectively, aiming to increase the students’ interest in Gyeonggi Province and Guangdong Province. Prof. Nan Jingxuan hoped that the students could study hard and communicate with each other, and Ms. Xiao Yuhan hoped that Chinese and Korean students could learn from each other and be tolerant and understand each other.
After the welcome session, the students officially started this cultural exchange project tour. The main contents of this exchange project included South Korea's history and culture, folk culture, Sino-Korean relations, and modern industry development in South Korea. The aim was to help students from China and South Korea have a more comprehensive understanding of the history and culture of South Korea, enhance understanding, and promote friendly relations between China and South Korea.
Through this project, the students of SFS broadened their international horizons and gained a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of South Korea’s history, culture and society. In this exchange program, the students' foreign language skills have also been enhanced, and to a certain extent, Korean students have also learned more about today’s China.
