From March 9th to 10th, the First International High-end Seminar on the Frontiers of Theoretical Linguistics was held in the North Campus of Guandgong University of Foreign Studies. This seminar mainly focused on the latest development and cutting-edge topics in the field of theoretical linguistics. The important research work and high-level research results by Chinese scholars in the frontier of theoretical linguistics were also demonstrated. Vice-president of GUFS Yang Aimin and Wang Kefei, editor-in-chief of Foreign Language Teaching and Research, delivered speeches respectively.

Dean Huang Guowen gave a speech entitled "Systematic Syntactic Analysis of王冕死了父亲(Wang Mian’s father died)".
