Founded in 2014, the Department of Business English is a new department in the university. The Business English program has already become one of the most popular programs at South China Agricultural University. This program started to recruit undergraduates in 2014. Currently, it has over 400 students, many of whom are very active, competitive and talented. They have won such trophies as second place in the“National Business English Practice Contest”(South China Region) .

The main courses offered by the program include Business English, Advanced English, English Pronunciation and Intonation, Grammar, Business Interpretation, Business Translation, International Trade Practice, E-commerce, English for Exhibition and Convention, Customs Documents and Practice, Introduction to Economics, Outline of English-speaking countries, Introduction to Linguistics, British and American Literature, Cross-cultural Business Communication, etc.
