Dean Huang Guowen gave a speech in the opening ceremony as well as a keynote speech titled “Halliday’s Systemic Ecolinguistics as an Appliable Linguistics” in the plenary session on October 27.

   The Third Symposium on Ecolinguistics was sponsored by China Association of Ecolinguistics, National Research Center of Foreign Language Education of BFSU and National Research Center for State Language Capacity, and organized by the School of Foreign Studies of Guangzhou Normal University.
