On February 16, South China AgriculturalUniversity released the 2018 Lunar New Year Welcoming Video, in which Dean HuangGuowen spoke.

   The video displayed SCAU's abundant achievements in 2017 in teaching, research, student work, social service, etc.SCAU President Chen Xiaoyang, SCAU CPC Secretary Li Dasheng, Academician of ChineseAcademy of Sciences Lu Yonggen, Dean of SFS Prof. Huang Guowen, along with many other outstanding scholars, teachers and students of SCAU, spoke inthe video, extending good wishes to all the teachers and students of SCAU for aprosperous 2018.

  Dean Huang Guowen said: "Language constructs reality. In recentyears, we have been devoted to Ecolinguistics, which studies the role oflanguage in the harmonious co-existence of humans and nature as well as howlanguage influences nature." Dean Huang Guowen called for all of us tojoin hands in protecting our environment and our languages and building a beautiful 2018.
