The 2017 Fortune Global Forum was held inGuangzhou on December 7--9 with the theme of "Openness and Innovation:Shaping the Global Economy". 39 students from SFS worked for the forum asvolunteers.

   These 39 students passed several rounds of selection and became part ofthe 1,168 volunteers in the whole city. They worked in the various teams ofFortune, Executive Committee, Reception, New Press, Security etc., andaccounted for 54% of the total of volunteers from SCAU.

This high-endforum required the volunteering staff to work long hours and with overwhelmingintensity. Though some of them worked for over 10 hours per day, none of these39 students ever complained. Instead, they devoted themselves wholeheartedlyinto serving the forum, which they unanimously saw as an opportunity to usetheir language expertise, broaden international horizons, develop communicationskills and enhance organizing ability.

SFS alwaysencourages students to actively participate in such events.
