The 2017 Annual Conference of Agriculturaland Forestry Universities and Colleges was held on November 24--26 in NanjingAgricultural University. Dean Huang Guowen, Deputy Deans Li Ge and Li Zhanxi attended the conference on behalf of SFS. 

   Dean Huang Guowen spoke in the conference. Inhis speach, Prof. Huang elaborated on the goals and approaches ofecolinguistics. He called for foreign langauge teachers in agricultural andforestry universities and colleges to bear affection for the country, work jointly to serve farmers, countryside andagriculture, and help transmit the outstanding Chinese farming culture. He alsosuggested that they should make contributions to the internationalization ofChinese agriculture and the introduction of cutting-edge technology into Chinafrom linguistic and cultural perspectives.

   Deputy Deans Li Ge and Li Zhanxi shared the 2017 New Syllabus and the 13th Five-year Development Plan of SFS.
