On November 8, SeniorVice Chancellor Prof. B.J. Reed, Assistant Vice Chancellor Prof. DeborahSmith-Howell, Dean of College of Business Administration Prof. Louis Pol and Global Engagement Representative to China Ms. BelindaJiang from University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) visited SCAU. The receptionwas hosted by Deputy Dean of International Office Ms. Yuan Juhua. VicePresident Yang Zhou, together with leaders and foreign affairs secretaries fromthe College of Arts, the College of Economics and Management, the College ofPublic Management and the College of Foreign Studies, also attended thereception.

Vice President YangZhou spoke highly of the guests’ third visit, saying these exchanges havehelped strengthened the tie between UNO and SCAU. Prof. Reed expressed hisgratitude to SCAU’s welcome and said UNO was ready to promote cooperation withSCAU in various disciplines.

Deputy Dean Chen Yang, Foreign Affairs SecretariesPeng Ying and Qin Jianhua discussed with Prof. Read, Prof Smith-Howell, Prof.Pol and Mz. Jiang about how to go about cooperative cultivation programs including2+2 bachelor’s degree in business-related majors, 3+2 accelerated master’s degreein business-related majors and 3+2 accelerated master’s degree in languageteaching-related majors. Prof. Pol, Dean of College of Business Administration, recommended international business asa starting point. The two sides will jointly work out detailed plans later.
