On September 19, Associate Vice Chancellor of University ofNebraska at Omaha Professor Snyder and Associate Director of Asia PacificRim Development Program Dr. Tong Zenghan visited South China AgriculturalUniversity. A meeting was held in the conference room of the International Officeof SCAU to discuss possible cooperative programs between the two universities. Professor Feng Lixin, Director of the International Office, presided over the meeting. Vice President of SCAU Liu Yahong and Deputy Director of the International Office Yuan Juhua were also present.

Professor Chen Yang, Deputy Dean of SFS in charge of administration,together with Foreign Affair Secretary Qin Jianhua, attended the meeting onbehalf of SFS. Professor Chen Yang introduced SFS to the visitors and expressedsincere wishes to develop future cooperative programs with UNO. The two partiestalked about 3+1 and 2+2 programs for undergraduates and 3+2 programs formaster students, and both saw a bright future in joint cultivation plans.
