Cooperative Program for Bachelor: Business English


     TheSchool of Foreign Studies of South China Agricultural University has reached aconsensus on Cooperative Program for Bachelor with University of Canberra,which covers the admission conditions, curriculum planning, credit conversionand other specific issues, and has formally signed an inter-school cooperationagreement in May, 2017. Thereare two types of agreements signed between University of Canberra and SouthChina Agricultural University. They are 2+2 business English to UC Commerce/Accountingdegrees for the Business English students and Study Abroad programs for all thestudents in School of Foreign Studies.

     Business English major students can join a 2+2 articulationprogram to study a Commerce/Accounting degree at the University of Canberra.Students will complete 2 years at South China Agricultural University and thenarticulate to a UC degree for another two years in any of theCommerce/Accounting degrees at the University of Canberra. Students will obtaina UC bachelor degree in Commerce/Accounting and a bachelor degree from SCAU.

     The study abroad program is open to2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students, allowing them to study in UC for a year or semester. Thetuition fees for the study abroad program have been reduced at a rate of about20-40%.Credit from the UC will betransferred back to SCAUat the completion of this program. 4th year students that are doing the studyabroad program at UC will have the advantage of pre-enrollment in the Masterdegree program. At the completion of the study abroad program, pre-enrolledstudents will have direct entry into the Master degree program with onecondition: the student must have transferred back their study abroad credit to SCAU and obtained a bachelor degree from SCAU.

     There are three Master degrees thatwill not require a Bachelor degree in the same field: Master of ProfessionalAccounting, Masterof Information Technology and Systems, Master of Urban and RegionalPlanning. Studentscan choose any one of the above Master degrees to study at UC. For Englishprogram students they can also choose the English teaching Master degree: Masterof Arts in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching.



Cooperative Program for Bachelor: Japanese

     The School of Foreign Studies of SouthChina Agricultural University has reached a consensus on Cooperative Programfor Bachelor with Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies and Josai University, whichcovers the admission conditions, curriculum planning, credit conversion andother specific issues, and has formally signed an inter-school cooperationagreement in December, 2016. 

     Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies was establishedin 1945, which is a private university as well as the only one foreign languageuniversity in Kansai Region of Japan. Its partner university of InternationalExchange Program in China include Jilin University, Xiamen University, TianjinForeign Studies University, Capital Normal University, Wuhan University, SouthChina University of Technology and so on. 

     Josai University is a private university, whoseheadquarter is in Sakado, Saitama, Japan. The predecessor of the school, JosaiGakuen Middle School, later Josai Hight School, was founded in 1918, when therewas a short-term university. The Josai University Educational Corporation alsooperates Josai International University, whose partner universities in Chinainclude Dalian University of Foreign Language, Dalian Maritime University, andBeijing Foreign Studies University. 

     As of 2017, 15 students in the Departmentof Japanese of the School of Foreign Studies have been admitted by NagasakiUniversity of Foreign Studies, among whom 9 are in the "2+2" Programand 6 are in the "3+1" Program, and 14 students have been admitted byJosai University in the "2+2" Program. 

     Besides, the Department of Japanese of theSchool of Foreign Studies has signed an internship agreement with AsianAssociation for the Promotion of Communication, which will be the overseas practicumbase for the Department. The base will accept students from the Department forinternship and provide accommodation and emolument.



Cooperative Program for Bachelor: English


    The School of Foreign Studies of South China Agricultural University has a long-established tie in exchange program with Providence University of Taiwan. The juniors in the Department of English of SFS can apply to join this program. Each year, two juniors will be selected, one sponsored by Provindence University and one self-funded, and they will study for one semester in Provindence University.
