Educational System in Japan and Current Problems by Prof. Yu Yang from Josai University

    Invited by the Department of Japanese, Prof. Yu Yang from Josai University gave a lecture entitled "Educational System in Japan and Current Problems" on April 19. The lecture was chaired by Director of the Department of Japanese Tang Liyan, and teachers and students in the department as well as many from other colleges of SCAU attended.


   Prof. Yu Yang graduated from Waseda University with a Ph.D in economics and now serves as Assistant to Council President of Josai University, Deputy Director of International Education Center, Professor of School of Modern Policies and Guest Professor of Waseda University. In his lecture, Prof. Yu introduced the formation of Japanese modern educational system, its status quo, the entrance examination system and the current problems.

   In recent years, Japan has become a hot destination of overseas study with a Chinese overseas students body of 120 000. Prof. Yu's informative lecture has familiarized the students with Japanese educational system and provided them with constructive suggestions for future study in Japan.
